QUALITY

Expect "quality" to be surprising

To us, ‘build quality’ is what we do, not just what we provide. From the quality you expect to the quality that jumps up and surprises you. From the clever little touches that make your drive more enjoyable to the sumptuous feel of pure luxury. It’s built into everything.

And because we want you to love your Nissan for a long time to come, we've created the Nissan Product Quality Policy (NPQP) and the Nissan Quality Assurance Way (NQAW). A lot of acronyms we know, but it’s our way of guaranteeing quality for all our vehicles, from when we design it through to when you drive it.

We're quality control freaks and proud of it.

1. We use high-precision 3-D design to produce prototype vehicles so even the smallest gaps can be detected and fixed.

2. Computer simulations help us to develop the best production process and we call in industrial robots for our manufacturing plants.

3. We eliminate potential problems in complicated electronic circuits before installation to be 110% sure that everything functions correctly before the system is installed.

4. We adapt our test equipment for every process by looking for every flaw imaginable, even those invisible to the human eye. We even have laser sensors to spot potential problems.

5. Our paint inspection method uses special illumination to show up scratches and dirt as small as 0.5 mm. And our final inspections can only be done after the complete assembly of the vehicle.

Go on. Say what you think.

Get some what with the who? The Nissan Product Quality Policy (NPQP) ensures that our customers all over the world are completely satisfied with Nissan products. Lovely.

And just so you know, the NPQP is based on three fundamental principles:

1. Evaluate product quality from the customer’s perspective and maintain the highest level of quality across all segments in the market.
2. Apply global standards that also take into account the market demands of each region.
3. Implement the Nissan Quality Assurance Warranty to maintain a global standard of quality.

And the Nissan Quality Assurance Way?

It's the last acronym for the day, promise. But this one, the NQAW is really important to us because it's our approach to reach total assurance in vehicle quality. Everything from the planning and development stages all the way through to the sales process. It involves the flow of quality assurance in an organic cycle that ensures the quality of each new vehicle. That's it, wasn't so bad was it?
